Preface

There came a day when I decided to no longer cry over the unexpected loss of Lorie, my beloved wife.

That day arrived three months to the day after her November 26, 2023 passing.

And that’s when the dreams began.

Professional and Spiritual Perspectives on “Visitation Dreams”

Firstly, my experiences in this regard are not unique. The dreaming of deceased loved ones is a common trait that takes on several forms.

Those forms include but are not limited to dreams whereby the deceased is still alive and with the dreamer in their usual day-to-day as if nothing has changed, dreams whereby the deceased is missing yet actively trying to reach the dreamer, and the dreams we will focus on in this piece whereby, as in the first example, the deceased remains alive but in this instance is actively separated or even divorced from the dreamer.
