Thoughts on Repercussions of the Gaza War by an Anti-Netanyahu Jew
It’s far past time for a two-state solution.
The following will be short. I believe no lead-in photo to this piece is necessary as we’ve all been bombarded.
The horrific Gaza War has led many Jews to deny their heritage for what’s largely perceived as self-preservation. Some I have spoken with are scared and embarrassed by their bloodline.
I understand, and I also think it’s asinine.
It’s one thing to flaunt religious symbols that can be misread as deliberately provocative during a time of crisis; it’s another thing entirely to lie about who you are.
Many of you who follow me on social media know my thoughts on the matter. I am vigorously anti-Benjamin Netanyahu. While Hamas started the current escalation, where it has gone from there has been indiscriminate to my mind.
“No ceasefire until all of Hamas is dead” is a blanket term for continuing to kill innocent Palestinians under the guise of Hamas hiding behind them in every nook and cranny of Gaza.
It may be true, but where does the ongoing slaughter get any of us? Israel has displayed its military capability for the world to see, but what’s next?
More dead innocent Palestinians and Israel as a pariah state?
I’ve been in favor of a two-state solution for years, but many of you also knew that already.
