“You are the CEO of Your Own Life”
Being my late wife’s favorite quote, a message she shared far and wide…
Lorie Girsh-Eisenberg did not suffer fools.
She believed everyone was responsible for their life’s trajectory. She also believed some individuals were born with disadvantages, and others have had disadvantages foisted upon them.
Regardless, she believed everyone could overcome.
This will be a short piece. I hope you find it inspiring.
When Lorie unexpectedly died last November, I lost my rock. I lost the woman for whom I fought every day to build the best possible life.
I lost my reason.
Until then, I was selling screenplays and books, joined the WGA (Writers Guild of America) and PEN America, and spoke to writers and filmmakers around the country.
I was becoming a known commodity in some circles. Why?
Because I worked my ass off so we could continue to build assets and live our best life. So we would never again fall financially short, as we had earlier in our marriage, I continued to write for online platforms such as Medium and NewsBreak to keep money coming in between the bigger checks.
