Introduction

For those who have followed me on this platform, you know I unexpectedly lost the love of my life on November 26th of last year. Lorie Girsh-Eisenberg was more than “just” my wife. She was my conscience. She was my life partner and my cheerleader. She was my joy and in the end my deepest sorrow.

She was my everything.

Still is, but the prevailing sensation over these last three months is Lorie has simply transformed from the prior comforts of a now expired shell to a loving spirit alone that remains my constant companion.

It’s as if she has walked away… yet has not gone anywhere.

For perspective, I am a natural skeptic. Although I do not have the hubris to espouse if science cannot prove it then it does not exist, I do think the human capacity to fully understand the unknown is limited regardless of our tools.
